This trek from the Annapurna foothills to the top of Poon Hill is one of the most pleasant trekking routes in the Himalayas in Nepal. This trek, which brings you to the village of Ghorepani offers spectacular mountain scenery.

The charming settlements of Gurung and their slate-roofed houses bring you into another world, as do amazing rhododendron forests ablaze with ivory, rose, apricot and crimson bouquets and deep sub-tropical valleys all set below the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri range.

Also known as the small Annapurna Circuit, it’s a very popular short trek for those with time limitations. The hike offers amazing Himalayan views of Mount Dhaulagiri (8167m), Annapurna 1 (8091m), Machhapuchhre / Fishtail (6998m), Nilgiri (7041m), Annapurna South (7219m), Annapurna II (7939m), Annapurna III (7555m), Annapurna IV (7525m), Lamjung Himal (6988m) and more.

Rising to 3210m, the Ghorepani Poon Hill trek will provide you with gradual climbs, a beautiful environment and a spectacular sunrise over Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and Dhaulagiri, as the sun changes its colour from pink to gold to silver – breathtaking!
