Nasir al-Molk mosque, also called the Pink Mosque, certainly is one of the places to visit in Shiraz, but why early in the morning? If you go before 9 am, you will enjoy a wonderful interplay of lights and shades caused by the suns rays seeping through the colourful stained glass of the doors and windows.

The most famous of the many parks that Shiraz boasts is the Eram Gardens. It was built following the principles of the traditional Persian Garden, with the water element placed in the middle. Because of the important role the Persian Garden has always played within the Iranian society, architecture and traditions, UNESCO has included it in its heritage sites’ list.

Tomb of Saadi or Saadieh is where Saadi, a great Persian poet had lived and was buried. This tomb is next to Delgosha Garden and at the end of Boustan Street in Shiraz. Many gravestones of great religious leaders are around the gravestone of Saadi. Among which is Shouride Shirazi's gravestone.

Qavam house or Naranjestan Garden was built in 1257 until 1267 Hijri during the reign of Naser al-Din Shah and by the order of Mohammad Ali Khan. The building of this garden is about 940 square meters and its basement is about 3500 square meters in area.

Zinat Al-Moluk House belongs to the Qajar Era. The construction of this house started in 1290 AH and it ended in 1302 AH. Most rooms in this house have wooden rooves with pictures of different animals, flowers, bushed and birds drawn on them. The basement of this house is now a museum and statues of important celebrities and famous people of Shiraz and Fars are located there.

The resting place of beloved 14th-century Shirazi poet Hafez, this mausoleum is a pilgrimage destination for Iranians. More than just a poet, Hafez still has a role in Iranians’ daily life when they need solace, advice for the future and during Yalda night, the longest of the year, when families gather around a table and read his poems.
