From the city, we drive directly to the Snæfellsnes Peninsula to Snæfellsjökull area which will amaze you with its landscape, flora and fauna and rich history. Your guide will explain to you everything you need to know, and learning first-hand is priceless.

On our way, we will explore Arnarstapi village, known for its fishing as well as the trading heritage, incredible cliff structures, and various birds’ species like kittiwakes. Afterward, we will catch sight of Hellnar village which also has a great fishing history; if you are into elves and other mythical creatures, the legend has it they like to hang out in this area.

Explore mesmerizing lighthouses

After this mystical and beautiful place, we are moving to the mesmerizing Malarrif lighthouse and then to Svörtuloft lighthouse, which is famous for its beautiful color that goes so well with the natural surroundings.

But that’s not all, as on our way we will stop at the villages of Rif and Hellissandur, Ólafsvik town and Grundarfjördur village which all have an extraordinary and exciting past, as well as natural beauty.

Last, but not least, we will visit the Kirkjufell mountain, it is for sure the most photographed mountain on the planet. Its name means “church mountain,” and its distinctive shape is eye-catching and extraordinary. After all this, it is a great time to take a rest and relax in the charming town of Stykkishólmur and prepare for the second day of our journey.

Day Two

Rise and shine and get ready for the new venture with the luxury jeep and your local guide. We will explore Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls. Hraunfossar which means “lava waterfalls” is the real treasure of the series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming over a distance of about 900 meters.

Barnafoss, on the other hand, as beautiful, but also unique, translates to “children falls,” colors and water flows are divine and unusual. Later you will have a choice whether you want to go into the lava tunnel on the Húsafell, or the ice tunnel on the Langjökull glacier, both impeccable by its nature and forms.

Stunning views of Hvalfjördur

When we are done with all these wonders, it is time for a drive back into the city, but the adventure is still on because the route that we are taking is fascinating. The route goes by the beautiful fjord called Hvalfjördur known as “Whale Fjord,” the whole area is favored by photographers from all over the world.
