On this spectacular Tablelands adventure, we visit the ancient Cathedral Fig Tree. An 800-year-old relic of the flora kingdom. Learn about the intricate evolution of the Giant Fig while enjoying morning chorus. There are over 120 birds to be found and heard in the area!

 

Travelling on to Lake Barrine for some beautiful morning tea, our guide will take us on a journey through the lakeside rainforest. The chance also to enjoy a one-hour lake cruise for more wildlife opportunities. Listen out for the Victorian Rifle Bird of Paradise and many other elusive creatures

 

We continue on our way for a delicious seafood lunch and some Platypus spotting!

 

To finish off the day, we take in the fantastic panoramas of Milla Milla lookout and a nice long swim at Lake Eacham, often a highlight and a pleasant cool off. Returning to Cairns approximately 5:30 pm.
